Clear Thinking.
Considered Action.
A practical starting point for facilities managers, landlords and contractors responsible for commercial, industrial and public-sector buildings in Manchester.

Understand First.
Then Decide.
Asbestos questions often arrive with another decision: buying a property, planning a refurbishment or taking responsibility for a workplace. Our focus is on making the next instruction clear and relevant to that decision.
We welcome enquiries from commercial landlords, managing agents, facilities teams and contractors. Explain what you know about the building and what you intend to do, and the suitable service scope can be discussed.
Discuss Your PropertyUseful Information, Clearly Explained
A useful survey is more than a positive or negative result. You need to understand where the material is, what was inspected, what could not be accessed and what your proposed work might disturb. We explain those distinctions throughout our service guides so you can ask informed questions before booking.
The same care applies to removal and disposal. A quotation should identify the work category, controls, waste arrangements and any required analytical handover. Scope and competence matter more than a broad promise.
Guidance And Competence
Our service information follows HSE guidance, including HSG264 for surveys and HSG248 for analytical work. The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 provide the regulatory framework for work with asbestos and the duty to manage in relevant premises. Any appointed provider should demonstrate the competence and permissions appropriate to the work.
Ask for the relevant survey or laboratory accreditation scope where applicable, and an HSE licence for work that requires one. Waste-carrier registration and the receiving facility’s permissions should also be checked for disposal. This website does not claim accreditation or a removal licence on behalf of an unconfirmed contractor.
Your Enquiry And Your Choice
Tell us your property location, the concern and any planned work. With your agreement, your enquiry may be passed to a suitable local firm so they can respond and discuss the practical details. You can review the proposed scope and quotation before deciding whether to proceed.
Our privacy notice explains how enquiry information is used. If you are unsure which service fits, start with the buyer questions or describe your property in the enquiry form.
